An experience still in preparation
The mobile scanning app and product-database connections are not publicly available in this version. Previews do not activate the camera, recognise an actual code or provide an individual analysis. They do not create a consumer account.
This document describes the intended launch framework. The general terms and privacy policy separately govern browsing the current marketing website. Presenting a future feature guarantees neither its launch date nor coverage of a particular product.
Access, camera and user choice
At launch, access conditions, compatibility and any service limitations will be explained before use. Camera access must be requested for the relevant function, with information about what is processed and whether manual code entry is available.
Refusing permission must not be treated as consent. Other uses of an image, scanning history or location require their own stated purpose and lawful basis, explained before activation. No personal history or dietary profile will be inferred from the current demonstrations.
Identifying the correct reference
A barcode is an identification clue; it does not by itself establish the authenticity, compliance or safety of the item in hand. The reference, variant, pack size and packaging information must be compared. A reformulation or record update may create a mismatch.
Unknown, ambiguous or insufficiently documented references will be identified as such. The service must not borrow reviews or specifications from a similar product to fill a missing result.
Separating experiences from product facts
Product reviews, seller reviews, creator videos and technical or ingredient data answer different questions. Their source and nature will remain visible. Content produced for payment or in exchange for a gifted product must retain its commercial disclosure and author’s identity.
A video is not proof of purchase or a performance guarantee. Third-party links and players may become unavailable. Activating them must respect user choices and applicable tracking rules; this page does not announce any third-party integration as already active.
Planned sources and reuse rights
Open Food Facts is planned for food, Open Beauty Facts for cosmetics and Open Icecat for part of the technical-product catalogue. Full Icecat is a separate paid offering. Coverage, media rights and reuse conditions must be checked for each integration. No access to Yuka data or partnership with Yuka is presented as secured.
The product record must distinguish the original source, last known update and consultation date. For Open Food Facts, the database, individual contents and images have separate licences, including ODbL, the Database Contents License and Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike. Applicable attribution and share-alike duties must be respected; an open licence does not grant every right over a brand or packaging.
Nutrition, ingredients and processing
The interface may display a Nutri-Score, NOVA group, ingredients, declared allergens and additive information where the data and method support it. Each result’s origin, version and limitations must be accessible. Missing information will be shown as unknown, not converted into a zero rating or an assertion that an ingredient is absent.
The presence of an additive alone does not establish an individual danger. Information warranting attention must be sourced, contextualised and separate from official restrictions. A nutritional score does not, by itself, describe a person’s overall diet. Packaging ingredients and up-to-date manufacturer information must also be consulted, particularly in the case of an allergy.
Environmental information
A Green-Score or other environmental indicator must identify its provider, scale, applicable method, underlying data and uncertainties. Life-cycle estimates and transport, origin or packaging assumptions will not be presented as individual measurements of the product without justification.
A letter or score will not be converted into a quantity of CO₂ or resource savings without a documented calculation. A rating is not, by itself, an environmental certification, carbon-neutrality claim or exhaustive comparison of all products. No nutritional or environmental score is assigned to the fictional products in the previews.
AI summaries and limitations
The planned AI summary must be identified as such, with its scope, date and links to the reviews used. It must also reflect relevant concerns, without inventing comments or replacing the sources. It may omit a nuance or make an error; correction and reporting must remain possible.
Buyer ratings, ingredient assessments and a creator’s interpretation will not be combined into a universal score without an explicit method. A review summary is not a diagnosis, personalised medical advice or regulatory proof of safety.
Use and responsibility
Users remain free to make their own choices. They must not bypass access limits, introduce false content or reuse information beyond the rights granted. Any future contribution must concern the correct product and respect individuals’ rights.
Loocas must address errors brought to its attention under the applicable procedure and accurately describe the service’s limitations. Those limitations do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Medical functions and therapeutic recommendations are outside the experience described here.
Corrections and launch conditions
For an error in an illustration on the marketing website, use the contact details actually published in the legal notice. The future service must allow identification of the product, disputed field, source and supporting correction, without demanding unnecessary health documents.
Before launch, permissions, licensed sources, scoring methods, retention periods, AI settings and reporting procedures must be specified and tested. Technical browsing data falls under the privacy policy; this framework does not open operational scan collection.
